The route 223, Unknown, 4026, 6022/5022, 6005, 2009, Hwy 22

Total distance 154 km

Some friendly dogs next to my hotel this morning as I walk to the 7-11 just around the corner

A 350 Suzuki that I have never seen before

I head out of town on the 223 and just past Khok Si Suphan I take a left onto an unnumbered road

A few km along here I stop at a village

The view of this house facing the road is quite decorative

A complete contrast is the ugly side view

Lots of these things out here drying

The road turns to concrete

Then unsurfaced for 1.8 km

Back to the black stuff now

I come to a T junction and its a right onto the 4026 for a few km then its a left onto the 6022 according to the blue sign but as soon as I reach the first km marker they say the 5022

Whatever its number its a pleasant journey

Some Bob Marley fans out here then

Another dirt section

Construction time in this village

I stop for a snack and a look around amongst these friendly people

The dust free roads project seems to work in reverse in this village as its dirt and dust in the village but asphalt either side of it

After 3.7 km of dirt now its asphalt again

I reach Pla Pak and here I take the 6005

Another good road which brings me to the 2009 where I take a right and ride to hwy 22. Here I turn left and ride to Kusuman where I meet Jim (Tubber) we go to his home, chat and drink coffee. Thanks Jim

I ride back along hwy 22 and stop to take some photos of Nong Han

The reflection of the sun on the water is still quite blinding

The lights beginning to fade now and time to head home

Jim tells me about this place so I eat here tonight

Owned by a very friendly Welsh guy

Fish in breadcrumbs, fries and bread and butter for 150 Baht, delicious, and yes it is from the sea and not the Mekong
