The route 1080, Unknown

Total distance 110 km
Image
I headed north on the 1080 for about 20 km then took a left onto an unnumbered road to Ban Santiphap to try to link up some roads across the mountains

This bridge to the side of the main road has collapsed into the water and been made up with hard packed stones and I guess it will be okay until the next wet season

Quite a few landslips along here

I cross a few water crossing but here it appears I have to ride along the stream
Image
I decide to walk through and check it out first
Image
Its an easy shallow crossing
Image
I am enjoying this and at a fork I take the left heading west and on due course for the waypoint I left two days ago out in the corn field

Now why cant all single track be like this, plenty of room to manoeuvre in

I reach the fork taking the left to see where this goes
Image
About 700 metres at N19.00.824 E100.38.346 then it turns to single track and goes up through those corn fields

That guy was carrying three sacks and making it look easy. I looked on google earth last night and it looked like none of todays tracks were going to work out how I hoped so no real big disappointment

This youngster was a right little entrepreneur, as soon as I took the rubber bands off the small packets of peanuts she quickly took them from me, either for games or possibly they have a monetary value

Plus this fallen tree with stones to go over it is a bit too close to a drop for my liking so as its a bit hazardous plus theres no help out here if things go wrong I turn back at N19.01.070 E100.41.431
Image
Nearly back to the asphalt and great scenery again

The twisty asphalt that awaits me, and now back to Nan after a fun days exploring
