CNX-Mae Ngat-Wiang Pa Pao-CNX
The Route 1001, 1323, 1150, 118
Total distance 304 km
Out of town on the 1001 then a left onto the 1323 to visit the Mae Ngat dam
Another low water level, its not even up to the bottom of the sluice gates
But very picturesque right now
I ride back to the 1001 turn left and a few kms later take a right to see the back end of Mae Kuang
I wasnt expecting to see it any higher going by how low it was at the dam when I visited there the other day
The pleasant ride back along this scenic little road
At the 1001 I turn right and ride to Phrao then take the 1150 towards Wiang Pa Pao
Not far from Phrao and theres a roadblock
They seem totally oblivious to anything else
Great scenery along here as always
Plus loads of these magic curves make this a very good day loop from Chiang Mai
The roads in good condition all the way with just the odd bit of loose debris here and there
A great fun ride today with no mishaps, I reach the 118, turn right and ride back to Chiang Mai
I thought I would try the big breakfast at Be Bee cafe tonight, 160 Baht for this good filling meal
