Total distance 243 km
It was straight up the 107 then a left towards Chiang Dao Cave
A very pleasant narrow little road this is too
I came to a barrier with a booth there but as the barrier was up I just rode through, there were no signs for a National Park or anything
After a few km it becomes a concrete road and stays that way for the entire length of about 50 km
Theres a lot of climbing and winding around up here on this road
It may be a concrete road but that didnt detract from the enjoyment in the slightest
It looks like lots of small bees in there but I cant get any closer
This road seemed to go on forever but I finally reached Muang Khong, this guy spoke brilliant English which was a surprise out here but then I came across four different groups of Western schoolkids who live in Singapore and were here with their teachers on a hiking/camping trip and he seemed to be involved with them
Time to ride back along this fun road that I am riding for the first time today
Another trip that will be done again but at the end of the wet season as the views will be brilliant then
This road does have a number but I only noticed it as I went past the blue sign on the way in and I completely forgot to note it on the way back, apart from that small error a great days riding and I returned home the way I came
It was lasagna at La Lanterna di Genova in Ratchdamnoen Road for tonights feast 220 Baht well spent
