A sweet dessert 10 Baht
A double portion of chicken curry and rice from the Muslim restaurant at the Wednesday market 70 Baht
Just about to rejoin the 108 and a fun loop that was rode and mapped today is finished
The bikes across, mission accomplished and another fun exciting loop has been found and added to the map.
No sign of any BMWs on the GS Trophy out here though, only small humble Japanese bikes
The cattle have an easier crossing but there is no way to get the bike down and up again
I walk back over then take the bike across
I left a waypoint here in December and thankfully kept it which guided me to the bridge today
The double track on the other side of the river
For the last km its a single track rough and rocky in places which I wasn’t expecting as I thought the bridge was for 4WD vehicles
In the distance I can see the river below
Now in Ban Huai Wok which was the end of the track on my last trip, I asked back then if I carried on could I get to Mae Sariang and was told no so I rode back the way I went in.
Since then there has been a lot of mapping done west of here and a couple of months ago Jasmine (Mistral) and I rode to within three km of here to a long log river crossing but didn’t cross over as neither of us felt comfortable doing it and it only looked like a single track on the east side.
I always remem, bered a track carrying on west from this village and if there is a way to reach that bridge it has to be from here so today I am going to look for it
